Iceland by Guide is a private Icelandic travel company creating calm & personal journeys throughout Iceland.

My name is Bijo, and I am the owner of Iceland by Guide. I first came into tourism through running a hotel back in 2008, and I simple noticed that I got a lot of energy from meeting travellers from all over the world. It opened me up to become a licensed tour guide, even though on my first tour my only reply was to almost any question "eh I have to look it up".

Icelands nature -- Over the years, I have seen again and again how Iceland’s raw beauty can open up people — they feel gratitude, are wow-ed and feel a deeper connection with themselves.

As a company I am based in Reykjavík, but yet I come from the countryside. Later living abroad and coming back shaped how I see Iceland. As a human I value honesty and openness. I enjoy talks about you, and about health and happiness, — simply having a real conversations and not rushed tourism.
